He had contagious enthusiasm and he went for what he believed in.

He was a friend that stuck by you, good times and bad. And it is those bad times that make friends sometimes hard to find, except for the really good ones, true friends, like Del, he was always there.

Flyin' Brian will be racing a Super Truck this weekend in the Outlaws & Gamblers "Ante-Up Shootout" at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Georgia. As the banner below specifies, there are no rules, no tech and no protests. You run what you brung, and hope you brung enough. Sounds like the Lucky Devil's kind of gig. Brian qualified 8th for the Hoosier Tires 100 last night, so we were all quite confident that he would do well, as he and the 81 do best in long runs. The Lucky Devil delivered another top five, finishing in 4th place. It was awesome to see the 81 up front again. Brian's next, and last scheduled race for the '07 season is the Fall Classic November 10th, at the Bullring in Las Vegas.

Brian had a great run going last night in the NASCAR TOYOTA ALL-STAR SHOWDOWN Super Late Model 150, but was crashed out of the event on lap 93. Brian's next scheduled race is the Hoosier Tires 100 at Irwindale on November 3rd.

Brian and the 81 finished last nights Auto Club Late Model race at Irwindale Speedway, in 13th position, and finish the series inside of the top ten, at 9th place in series points. Now he concentrates on preparations for the October 19th, NASCAR TOYOTA ALL-STAR SHOWDOWN Super Late Model 150 race, followed by the Hoosier Tire 100 on November 3rd and then finally, the Fall Classic November 10th, at the Bullring in Las Vegas.

Brian and the 81 finished last nights Auto Club Late Model race at Irwindale Speedway, in 11th position, and currently sit 7th in series points. The next scheduled race for the Lucky Devil is September 29th.

Flyin' Brian Jones (as Ryder calls him) made a few changes over the past couple of weeks, and it shows. Paul Copenhaver Motorsports is helping set up the 81 now, and Donald Robison has been added to the crew. Last nights top ten finish is a step in the right direction, and we all are looking forward seeing Brian running up front again. Brian's 9th place finish keeps him setting 9th in series points. Brian and the 81 are next scheduled to race again August 18th.

The only positive out of last nights race, was that again, Brian kept the 81 out of the wall. Brian fought another bad set-up, and brought the 81 home in 18th place, and sits 8th in series points.

Brian and the gang went to Ventura last night to watch his buddy Luis Espinosa race his sprint car. Luis finished the main in 4th, and then showed us his car. Could we be seeing the Lucky Devil on dirt soon? Time will tell. Not quite as spacious as the 81.

Brian celebrated the 4th behind the wheel of the 81. The Firecracker 100 was originally scheduled for 100 laps but was shortened by 15 laps because of the time constraint to accommodate the live television broadcast of the NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series King Taco 200. Brian fought to bring her home in 12th place, and remains 9th in series points. The next scheduled race is July 21st.

We missed the handling set up again this past weekend, Brian finished 20th, falling to 9th in series points. The next scheduled race is Wednesday, July 4th.

Qualifying again was a problem for Brian and the 81, so the 20th starting position was where he began last night's race. We all knew the 81 would be good for the main, and Brian did not dissapoint his fans. For the second race in a row, Brian and the 81 won the "Hard Charger" award with a finishing position of 5th place. Brian moves up to 6th in series points. Next scheduled race is June 23rd.

Another nightmare qualifying session meant that Brian and the 81 would be starting 31st in a field of 33 cars. Brian won the trophy dash, and then in the main event, he was also named the hard charger, having charged from 31st starting spot to a finishing position of 13th. Brian remains in the top ten points chase in eighth place. The next scheduled race is June 9th.

Brian qualified 9th in a 40 plus field of cars. In the very early laps of the main event, coming out of turn two, the 81 and 51 rubbed against each other, gathered themselves up, and powered down the backstretch. Just before turn three, the 51 stabbed the 81 right at the passenger door post. Brian held steady and the 51 did not. When the smoke cleared, the 51 and 3 were resting against the wall in turn three. The rest of the race ran incident free. Brian finished in 7th place, improving his points standings to 7th as well. The next scheduled race is June 2nd.

The fourth race of the Auto Club Late Model season was run accident free tonight, with the exception of a blowout on the 53 car, resulting in some contact with the wall. Brian's qualifying session today was a nightmare, but in the main event, he brought her home in 14th position, and in one piece. Brian now sits 9th in the points standings. The next scheduled race is May 19th.

Fighting handling conditions described as "pushing like a dump truck" Brian drove the 81 to a third place finish last night, for his best finish of the season. It was great to see the 81 back up front where she belongs. Way to drive Brian, and to the Lucky Devil Racing crew, way to keep wrenching on that beauty. The next scheduled race is May 12th.

Round two of the Auto Club Late Model races at Irwindale Speedway is behind us now. Brian qualified the Lucky Devil Racing / Blak Flag / Certainteed / Cant Strip Corp / Tubbs Vinyl / Racecar Factory / LR Apparel / Liz-Zard Racing Engines Monte Carlo 20th, and worked his way up to a finishing position of 11th place. No doubt he will be running up front real soon. Round three is scheduled for saturday, April 28th.

Round one of the Auto Club Late Model races at Irwindale Speedway came off fairly clean. The Lucky Devil Racing crew was working on the clutch all day saturday, so Brian never did get in any practice time. The first time he was in the car, was to qualify it, and he qualified 18th out of 40. Brian drove well fighting tight conditions, and aside from the 4 of Sean Bennett trying to punt him across the track, crushing the passenger side door panel, the 81 finished in fairly good shape. Round two is this coming saturday, March 31st.
